Patriot Energy Group Announces New Vice President of Energy Services

Industry expansion and new product developments have led the Patriot Energy Group to strengthen its resources.

BURLINGTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Patriot Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Heather Takle as the company’s new Vice President of Energy Services. Industry expansion and new product developments have led the Patriot Energy Group to strengthen its resources.

“Heather brings to Patriot Energy proven leadership and a deep understanding of demand-side applications that has been absent in our management,” said, President and CEO, Louis Frate. “I’m excited to work with her to continue helping our clients integrate and manage their energy services.”

In her new role as Vice President of Energy Services, Heather will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and long-term strategy of demand-side products and services like energy efficiency and distributed generation within Patriot Energy.

Heather’s leading focus will be on positioning the company as a total energy solution provider for its clientele by overseeing the development and integration of supply & demand side offerings.

Since 2002, Patriot Energy has focused on natural gas and electricity procurement, developing innovative strategies that have allowed small to medium-sized businesses to take advantage of purchasing strategies. This has allowed for a plan to secure lower costs over time.

“Patriot Energy Group is in the business of helping our clients reduce their energy spend,” said Frate. “Technology has advanced to the point where cost reduction has progressed beyond traditional commodity management to include behind-the-meter applications.”

It is because of technological advancements that, in the past twenty-four months, the company has well positioned itself as an all-inclusive energy management firm, by adding efficiency, demand management, price response, and on-site generation products and services to its repertoire.

“I am excited to help build the Patriot Energy Group vision and industry-revolutionizing goal of managing a business’ complete energy picture,” said Takle. “Pairing our expertise in supply-side offerings with demand-side solutions, such as energy efficiency and solar generation, will not only provide the best solutions for our clients but will also position Patriot Energy Group to be a continued leader in the energy services market.”

Takle brings a deep knowledge across nearly all segments of the energy sector. In addition to more than a decade of energy sector experience, she also brings her extensive experience in strategy and business development to further Patriot Energy’s growth.

For the past seven years, she held numerous roles at both operational and strategic levels at Ameresco, a leading independent provider of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, including most recently as Director of Corporate Development. Prior to that she assisted clients in their most difficult strategic challenges as a consultant with The Parthenon Group (now Parthenon-EY), a boutique management consultancy. She began her professional career serving throughout the world as a logistics officer in the United States Marine Corps. She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University.
